The Vehicle Wrapping Academy are a vehicle customisation company based in Essex, and are an Approved Provider of Education for children with in Essex County Council. We are pleased to be on the Alternative Provider list and in a position to be able to offer students across the Essex area the opportunity to take advantage of a unique teaching and future career opportunity.
We have a training academy where we teach vehicle wrapping, sign writing, window tinting and graphic design.
What is Vehicle Wrapping?
Vehicle Wrapping is a way of changing the look of your vehicle without the need for a complicated and potentially expensive paint respray. It involves completely or partially covering your vehicle with a vinyl film. This film can be used to overlay the vehicle with a different colour or design, add a gloss or matte finish, or simply add a protective layer.
When a car is wrapped, a layer of plastic vinyl coating is stuck over the top of the vehicle’s paintwork.
It can be a specialist job and should always be done by a professionally trained technician and our industry is crying out for new and upcoming technicians as there is currently a massive shortage for skilled technicians in this industry despite it being a huge growth sector, not just in the UK but worldwide.
TVWA has been running since 2013 and we have recently expanded to be able to offer not just the service itself, but also training for young people. We can offer work experience, apprenticeships and even employment positions once the course has been completed. Included in the course, besides learning to wrap and sign write, is the focus on basic math skills for example measuring materials, converting units of measurement etc.
The course has proven to be very beneficial for young people and offers young people a skill set to which can be performed globally.
We can offer spaces to up to 10 children per course and offer a 2 day per week programme across 6 weeks including different creative tasks along the way. Provision can roll on termly if required.
Our working environment is focused but also friendly and relaxed and our whole team are passionate about helping young people.
